Our Vision Statement: Where do we want to be?
The specific objectives and purposes for which the Conscious Connections Foundation exists are:
To facilitate the advancement of marginalized individuals by promoting access to education, health-care, skills development and facilities improvement so that they can create strong, vibrant, economically viable communities. To educate North Americans on their ability to positively impact these individuals lives with direct donations.
Our Mission: How will we get there?
CCF hopes to achieve the above goals by accomplishing the following:
- Fundraising for educational scholarships to help poor families in Nepal keep their children in school. Funds raised will be distributed in Nepal to facilitate all levels of education for children of marginalized families. A goal of this foundation is to give children a chance at an education that they may not otherwise have access to. Money will be raised through educational fundraising events, donations for printed materials, and other methods.
- Fundraising for and providing access to primary health care in parts of rural Nepal where there would otherwise be is limited opportunity for treatment. We will raise funds through an educational fundraising page and through local educational presentations on the need for primary health care in rural Nepal.
- To engage in other activities which educate donor and support about the importance of providing education, healthcare and economic opportunities to marginalized communities and individuals worldwide. And to directly engage in and provide the opportunities for others to participate in the promotion of educational scholarships, health care and economic skills development. The means of providing such education to the general public includes, but is not limited to, hosting fundraising events with educational content, creating educational printed materials for distribution, writing and distributing stories for newsletters, and organizing public presentations on these issues.
- With the earthquake of April 25, 2015 CCF was compelled to participate in fundraising for disaster relief. Although not a part of our original mission we witnessed the destruction of the Baseri Clinic and the lives of many of the families and children we had worked with in fulfilling our mission. We felt it was not only our responsibility but a necessity to generate funding through our foundation to help them rebuild their lives and the clinic. We will continue to contribute to the rebuilding process in the short term and in the long term until they are back on their feet again.
